TradingView CHARTS REVIEW

Over these 3 years of trading I have changed a lot of charting softwares, but now I have stayed with TradingView. To my experience TradingView charts is the cleanest and EASY TO USE with most of tools needed for beginner traders to professional traders.

I like the Cleanliness of charts, drawing and indicator possibilities, possibility to share your chart in social networks and many more.  But as in every trading tool there is BAD sides to it. The thing I don’t like, is that you can’t sync drawings in between layouts. It means when you make new layout, you have to draw everything from the start again. But there is a way how to  avoid it, until they hopefully fix it, but on that a moment later.

Now lets move on PROS AND CONS.

PLANS AND PRICING

There is 4 plans available. One of which is free.

• BASIC – FREE

• PRO – $14.95 A Month – $155.4 a Year

• PRO+ – $29.95 a Month – $299.4 a Year

• PREMIUM – $59.95 a Month – $599.4 a Year

Currently I am using PRO plan which costs  $14.95 a month or  $155.4 yearly (normal price $179.4, you save $24 if you buy yearly subscription).

You can even use the free version if you don’t need more than one chart in a layout. For example if you’r investing, you can use their free version, but there gonna be limited quantity of tools what you can use.

You can give it a GO, with their basic version and then see do you even need an upgrade. It’s very easy to upgrade and at the start you receive 30 DAY TRIAL, so it’s nothing to loose, TRY IT OUT YOURSELF

In addition, you can subscribe for realtime data. Like ARCA, NYSE, NASDAQ, OTC, FUTURES

EASE OF USE and DRAWINGS

TradingView is based on HTML5 platform so you can open it in any browser.

Main tools and drawings are located at left side of chart.

Watchlist, Alerts, News, Stock INFO, DOM on the Righ side of chart. Would like to move these around but it’s not possible yet.

I absolutely love drawings, there is so many possibilities and you can change size, colour, style for nearly everything. You can even add some text to your trend or support/resistance lines. What helps me to remember what is that line for.

LAYOUTS

You can place up to 8 charts on your LAYOUT. It depends on plan you are on. WITH

• Basic – 1 chart
• PRO – 2 charts
• PRO+ – 4 charts
• PREMIUM – 8 charts

Depends how many is necessary for your trading.

As you see there is possibility to sync SYMBOL, INTERVAL, CROSSHAIR, TIME, DRAWINGS at selected layout.

But you can’t sync your drawings to different layouts. 

There is a possibility to copy the drawings to another layout, but its not the same as if they were syncing all the time. If you want, I can make another post about it.

I usually place 2 windows/tabs to my monitor with same layout what consist of 2 charts. So i can concentrate on two stocks only. Watchlist at the right side of chart makes it easy to access every ticker I need.

I usually place all of my drawings on one layout. As you can’t sync, I open the same layout again and then do drawing only on one and save it. So if I need drawings on my second layout, I just reload it.

I like the take a snapshot option. Where you can easily snapshot your chart for sharing in social networks or just get a picture link to save it in your website or desktop.
